If you could erase one event from history, what would it be?
Now this one has had me wracking my brains for hours! I’ve become embroiled in thinking through endless personal ‘sliding doors’ moments in my head. Try it yourselves; fascinating!
BUT…and its big but… any that potentially affect my kids have had to be ruled out. On the while, this has proved a useful filter, restricting me to the more recent decades of life and there I find the UK’s BREXIT referendum. That’s what I’d erase.
Why? Because its has brought nothing good to the UK. We’ve had neither political nor economic stability since and, even more dismal than this, we appear to have zero national cohesion now . I find life far more demoralising in a society that feels divided, eaten up with hatred and mistrust, backward thinking and…pretty viscous and unpleasant. If only it had never happened…
