Harry Potter!
Started reading this to my eldest child when she was a few weeks old. A precious calm half hour to soothe her into sleep and, who knew, to also give me a bit of me-time!
And I loved it. The plot was exciting, the writing so great that the words leapt off the page conjuring up pictures in my mind. After the busy bookless years of my twenties, I think it probably helped me fall in love with reading again.
Took me three children to finish the series…happy times!
